We are looking for an innovative, detail-oriented Team Leader (f/m/d) for our Product Safety Team. You will report to the Head of Aircraft Architecture.
Your responsibilities in this role include:
- Drive and manage the competency development, training and performance review of the safety engineering team
- Create safety standards and procedures appropriate for a gated aircraft development program
- Establish safety requirements in the largest context of aircraft integration, EWIS and System Integration
- Managing and fostering relationships with suppliers related to safety data packages
- Chair and moderate technical integration meetings with major aircraft systems, flight physics and aircraft structure groups for the prompt resolution of safety issues
- Manage and monitor senior leadership and external safety consultants and data packages; select appropriate engineering vendors for aircraft safety
You’ll bring this with you
- Master’s Degree or at last 15 years of experience in Aircraft Safety at major OEMs, Aircraft suppliers or consulting in this field
- 10+ years’ experience leading and building multicultural safety teams
- 2+ years’ experience Signing Safe of Flight Documents for Flight test Vehicles
- 5+ years’ experience Signing Safety Certification documents
- Has proven expert level certification knowledge of CS25, CS29: the ideal candidate has been or is a Safety CVE (or equivalent)
- Ability to train people in: Safety Tools (CAFTA or equivalent), V&V Tools (DOORS or equivalent), Design Tools (CATIA V5), ARP 4754 &4761, DAL Allocations, DO-178B and DO-254, FRACAS, FME(C) A.
- Open minded personality with excellent communication skills, written and spoken in English, German is a plus
